Foyer fabulosity Part II

Good morning......hope all is well. I must say I am not making much of an effort to get to Target as I am not hearing such great things about this highly touted Calypso line, so when I get there,I get there, but it sounds underwhelming at best. Anyone like it out there? I am going to be taking some pictures at the house today, bathrooms are moving along fast and furious so there with will plenty of bathroom pics, and beams are being chopped and antiqued which is kind of fascinating to watch so will get that too. Stairs is being installed and I must say its coming along beautifully, everyone on the site is amazed at the staircase, its like a work of art, they are amazed at the curve and the workmanship. I will share picture updates tomorrow.

As promised earlier, here is part II of my foyer fabulosity post. Foyers make the first and hopefully a lasting statement about the feeling and personality of your home. Whether your look is casually rustic, charmingly coastal, minimalist modern or elegantly traditional, the accessories, pieces of furniture, lighting and flooring you choose in your foyer sets the tone for what is to come. You can choose to keep it low key and minimalist or go all out for a serious wow factor. It is an easy room to infuse your own personality or taste into....so have fun with it. Here is a continuation of more glorious foyers, each with its own distinct personality and style.......each very beautiful. What is your style? Do you have any tried and true tips that you like to infuse into a foyer? Do you have a favorite here?

Small hints of black such as the railing, lantern and beautiful door against all the stone are timeless elegance at its finest

Stephen Knollenberg used carriage doors for front doors and black accents for this charming foyer
Love the patterned floors, the leopard carpet runner and that black door..so much impact! Howards Store
Lauren Rubenstein chose a very bold floor and complimented it with an equally bold wall, therefore its best to scale down with the furnishings
Understated elegance at this stunning lake house foyer, Robert Stern

Isabelle Higgins painted this foyer a color to resemble a sunset...beautiful
Suzanne Kasler used blue and white beautifully as a contrast to the warm rich woods in this large scaled sunlit foyer

The late Greg Jordan kept this foyer simple and classic in keeping with the gorgeous architecture
Grand entry hall with orange and warm wood accents ala Mary Mcdonald
Rich, gorgeous floors and metallic chinoiserie grace this regal look foyer, Rinfret
Regal and grand foyer in limestone and marble needs little furniture...love the doors!

This amazing foyer features a front to back to take full advantage of the ocean that beckons
When there are great architectural qualities in a home, sometimes the simplest decorating application is the most appropriate, Timothy Corrigan
Persimmon accents brighten up this lively and elegant foyer, Suzanne Kasler
Front to back foyers are my personal favorite, particularly if they have an incredible view to take advantage of as they do here...so elegant
This certainly has the wow factor! Love the soft muted black used here.....
Sherill Canet designed this elegant understated foyer, love the grouping of prints on the wall..really creates an interesting space and "cozies" it up!
Love the light, the colors, the elegance.... perfection! Southern Accents

So....you know I love to know what you think and if you have a favorite! What do you think is a winning combination when decorating a foyer? Do tell....... Hope you have an enchanting day!

  65. Tina,
    What a generous give-away!
Chic Coles sent me my first Seda candle
a while ago & I have loved them
    ever since!
Well, if you really must know,
I glanced at your house update the other day,
    http://tinyurl.com/3ne2qm2,
    and my heart went pitter-patter!
There is so much "beyond fabulous" eye candy
    and information in that post!
I actually decided to wait to read it
and instead thought of it as one of
"those" magazines that you set aside
until you can read through it entirely
    without any interruption!
So with my iPad, by a roaring fire,
with my feet up, under my favorite throw,
with a nice glass of wine,
I read and savoured every picture.
    Oh yes,
I studied your wiring & kitchen ceiling
    & stunning french doors!
I then went on to lust for
    alpaca & fine linens.
    Thank you, thank you
for that post & for writing this blog.
I don't care if I win or not,
I already have received your gift!
    xo Lisa
